1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading or using Ringtone & Text Tone Maker ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is made by Winton Gee ("we" or "us"). It turns songs, videos and recordings into ringtones, text tones and alarm sounds, and guides you through setting each one up.

2. Sounds you use

Use only sounds you own or have the right to use. You are responsible for the audio you import, record and share. Tones you make are for your own personal use on your devices.

3. Settings, contacts and alarms

iOS controls which sound plays for each slot, so the last step happens in Settings or on the contact card. Alarms are delivered by iOS and depend on your iPhone's settings and state, including an iPhone that is off or out of battery. We cannot guarantee that every alarm rings. For anything that must not be missed, use more than one alarm.

4. Eligibility and requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
  • The app runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

5. Free use and Pro

Making, trimming, fading and adding basic tones is free and unlimited. Pro adds effects, presets, a sound for each person and alarms with your sounds, and is available as:

  • Pro monthly: an auto-renewing subscription, $4.99 a month in the US (prices vary by region)
  • Pro lifetime: a one-time purchase, $14.99 in the US (prices vary by region)

Subscription terms

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

6. Apple's standard license

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (opens in a new tab), together with these terms. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to the license. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

7. Your data

Your sounds, tones and alarms are stored only on your iPhone. You are responsible for that device and its backups; if the app or the device is deleted or lost, the data may be lost with it. See the privacy policy for details.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every alarm will ring, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINTON GEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM A MISSED OR LATE ALARM, OR LOSS OF DATA. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Intellectual property

The app, including its design and content, is owned by Winton Gee and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
